Carnival kids

Last week I went to 2 gigs. The first was Rodrigo y Gabriela at the Leeds City Varieties Theatre. They were absolutely fantastic - really skilful. For the uninitiated, they are a couple of Mexican acoustic guitarists that play a kind of mixture of flamenco and heavy metal. Full review here

On Friday I went with Mward, Tranter & Terry to see the Futureheads again at Manchester Academy. Good new album, though not as good as the first one. Good show, though more subdued than last time. A good night at the Brickhouse followed (members, don't you know.)

I believe that you're trekking through the dales as I type this with a top crowd. Jealous as I'm sitting at home bored bollockless. Update the blog with snaps svp.

I'll do the same with my 60 mile (count 'em) London to Brighton bike ride tomorrow. Found out in the boozer last night that everyone who I thought, like me, wouldn’t bother to train actually has. Shocker. And I’m cycling with supra-fit (but not like that) Stoney as well just to make it worse.

Oh dear. I dread to think what lies in store. I expect stories of 20 mile-cyclist-pile-up-carnage due to Lunt fiddling with his iPod or suchlike. Good luck. Update your blog from your hospital bed.
